Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­ficer of High­land Gold Min­ing Brent Horo­chuk has gradu­ated from the Hailey­bury School of Mines in Canada and the Michigan Tech­no­lo­gic­al Uni­versity with a de­gree in min­ing en­gin­eer­ing and star­ted pro­fes­sion­al work as an un­der­ground miner at the Sher­ritt Gor­don Mines in Canada. He has held man­age­ment posts at vari­ous min­ing op­er­a­tions in Canada, Ghana, Zi­m­b­ab­we, Guinea em­ployed by Nor­anda Min­er­als, Fal­con­bridge and Ashanti Gold­fields. Be­fore join­ing High­land Gold Min­ing Brent was the man­aging dir­ect­or of the Geita gold mine in Tan­zania (Ang­lo­gold Ashanti).
